  • Holy week

The events of Holy Week are of significant value to our faith, so this year we are doing things differently for Easter. Join us as we journey together through the week leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection, and celebrate the meaning of each day. Below is a schedule of the week.

    PALM SUNDAY - 25 March

We begin our journey into Holy Week. On this Sunday we will remember the story and significance of Jesus returning to Jerusalem the week before His death.

Each campus will meet during regular Sunday service times on Palm Sunday.

    HOLY MONDAY - 26 March

On this day Jesus entered the temple and was angered by the injustice that He saw. Holy Monday is a day to reflect on the just heart of Jesus, and in this service we pause and pray for justice in our world.

The service will take place at the uMhlanga campus from 19:00 - 19:45.

    HOLY TUESDAY - 27 March

After being questioned by the Jewish leaders Jesus shares several parables that evidently prove He is the Messiah. His message to the people listening is one of ultimate faith in God and His authority. We will take some time on this evening to look at what Jesus was saying and what it means for us today.

Again the service will be from 19:00 - 19:45 at the uMhlanga Campus.

    WEDNESDAY - 28 March

It was on this day that Judas made the decision to betray Jesus. As a community we will spend the day fasting and praying, as we make room in our hearts for the weight of this week and its importance in our lives.

There will be no services on this day, and we encourage you to fast, pray and reflect on this poignant day.

    MAUNDY THURSDAY - 29 March

Jesus and His disciples meet for the Passover meal and it is here that Jesus washes their feet. A true example for all humanity, Jesus’ humility and love for His people is evident and worthy of praise. Each campus will be having a bring and share dinner on this night. Bring a picnic to share with friends and family as we gather together over a meal.

19:00 - Grace uMhlanga, Riverside, Ballito

Jesus was arrested, mocked, beaten and lead to the cross to be crucified.

On this day we recall the seven last words of Jesus, as He hung on the cross. In past years we have met for a sunrise service, however this year we won’t be having that service. Rather each campus will be open between 9:00 and 12:30 so you are welcome to come at any time, and stay for as long as you like, to reflect on the moments of this day. There will be times of quiet as well as guided teaching into Jesus’ last words.

Visit any Grace campus between 09:00 and 12:30.

    SATURDAY - 31 March

Rest day. The church will not be open on this day.

    EASTER SUNDAY - 1 April

On the third day Jesus rose from the dead!

On Easter Sunday we celebrate Jesus’ life, death and resurrection at all our campuses. All are invited, so bring family and friends as we worship Jesus and His enduring faithfulness.

All Grace campuses. Regular Sunday service times.

  • resurrection - Easter sunday

grace kids umhlanga

Grace Kids is a fun, safe place for kids to discover the adventure of following Jesus. We use creative, relevant, and age-appropriate Bible teaching, high-energy worship, and dedicated small group leaders to ensure kids enjoy 'THE GREATEST HOUR OF THE WEEK!' At Grace we understand that there is more to leading children to Jesus than just Sundays. That's why we intentionally partner with parents and families to help kids discover and develop a meaningful relationship with Jesus.

Grace Kids runs every Sunday during all our services 07:30 | 09:15 | 10:55 | 17:30. All children are signed in and out of Grace Kids on a Sunday by their parents and are allocated a unique number. In the event that a parent needs to be contacted during a service, your child's number will appear on the screen in the main auditorium. For parents of infants age 0-12 months, our auditorium is equipped with a Parents Room with a glass window so parents can see and hear the service. Otherwise, check out what's available for every age up to Grade 6.

Creche: 1-3 years

This facility is staffed by dedicated volunteers, who will care for your little one with their safety being our priority.

Pre-Primary: Gr 00-R

Our preschoolers enjoy a structured time of worship and story time followed by a fun activity to reinforce what they have learned. The focus in this age group is 'God made me, God loves me, and Jesus whats to be my friend forever.'

Primary: Gr 1-6

Our primary school children get together for high-energy, action-packed worship and creative, relevant teaching time. This is followed by age-appropriate small group time that reinforces the lesson led by our amazing Grace Kids volunteers.
